Southern Command team won the Army Inter Command Handball Championship


The Army Inter Command Handball Championship 2024-25 was hosted at Artillery Centre, Hyderabad from 13 May to 17 May 2024. This remarkable sporting event witnessed a display of exceptional talent and sportsmanship from the teams of six

Army Commands.

Over the course of five intense days, the teams competed on the basis of Round Robin, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to excellence at the foothills of the renowned Golconda Fort which stood witness to the remarkable showcase of skill, determination, and unity among the handball teams of the Army.

Highlights of the event included closely contested matches and remarkable displays of skills and agility by the Handball teams. The Army Inter Command Handball Championship 2024-25 not only celebrated sportsmanship but also reinforced the spirit of camaraderie and discipline that is the hallmark of the Armed forces.

The annual championship was conducted under the aegis of the Services Sports Control Board and aimed at selecting Army sportsmen for representation in Inter Services Handball championship.

Brigadier Rajiv Chauhan, Commandant and Chief Executive Instructor, Artillery Centre, Hyderabad graced the event as Chief Guest of the finale day which was played between Southern Command & Northern Command. The event
culminated with presentation of trophy by the Chief Guest to the Southern Command, who won the championship by defeating Northern Command by a margin of four points.
