Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that people have the right to protest in a democratic country. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy attended the Kamma Community Global Summit held at Nova Hotel, Hyderabad.
Revanth Reddy said that they can protest for Telangana at the White House in America, but they could not protest in Hyderabad against the illegal arrests in AP. He said that protest is a fundamental right… but if they wanted to protest in Telangana against illegal arrests in AP, they were prevented… this led to their (BRS government) downfall. Protest is a method in democracy.
He said that if he protested, he would be arrested and the results were seen on December 3. He said that he knew that the previous government had given 5 acres of land to the Kamma Sangha and filed a litigation, but after resolving all the issues, he would give permission to the Kamma Sangha to construct a building there.
